Lucban, Quezon
29 April 2013
Nearly two weeks before the national elections, President Benigno S. Aquino III urged the local residents of Lucban to vote on leaders who will prolong the developments being delivered in their province of Quezon.
In his speech, President Aquino enumerated a few of these developments which can only be honed if the elected officials bear the same goals as that of the administration. Among these are the construction of the following road projects: the eight-kilometer Lucena Diversion Talao-Talao Port Road, the 60-kilometer SLEX extension from Batangas to Lucena and the 16 farm-to-market roads in the towns of Calauag, Gumaca, Quezon and Tagkawayan. He also mentioned further the allocation of P82 million for the completion of 18 irrigation projects.
Joining the President during the event were Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel Roxas III, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala and former Senate President Franklin Drilon.
