President Benigno S. Aquino III met with the members of the Liberal Party (LP)-Cebu at The Enclave Parkmall in Mandaue City. He said that Cebu has always supported him and his family for the longest time, and that he is happy for his visit here. He also stated that by the time he steps down in 2016, the province should be even better. The President then mentioned some of the current development projects in Cebu including the upgrade of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport which is expected to have close to ten million arrivals in 2016.

Moreover, President Aquino mentioned that the extension of the bus rapid transport system was discussed at the recent NEDA Board Meeting. He believes that this is the fastest and cheapest solution to the traffic problems in the country and that it is an alternative to the light rail transport system.

Later this afternoon, President Aquino will grace the National Thanksgiving Mass for San Pedro Calungsod which will be held at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.
