“Habang umaasa ang taumbayan sa inyo, kayo naman ay may maaasahan sa Administrasyong ito. Bilang inyong Commander-in-Chief, titiyakin kong buo at tapat ang suporta at malasakit ko sa inyong lahat na Philippine Air Force,” stated President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the celebration of the 78th founding anniversary of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
Speaking before the uniformed officers and personnel, President Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the PAF’s modernization efforts. “The government will exert all efforts to provide the Philippine Air Force with the best possible equipment, training, and facilities,” he assured them, emphasizing that a well-equipped Air Force is essential to fulfilling its mandate effectively.
The President also highlighted recent accomplishments, including the monitoring of numerous unidentified aircraft and vessels near Philippine waters, tracking insurgents, and supporting law enforcement operations against smuggling and criminal activities that threaten economic stability.
He lauded the Air Force’s continuous growth, noting the addition of six (6) new aircraft, enhanced skills through advanced training and simulation, and ongoing infrastructure projects to ensure strategic positioning.
“Remember: We owe the Filipino people a swift and responsive Air Force. Today, in its 78th year, let us recommit to that,” President Marcos Jr. stated, concluding his remarks.
With the theme, ‘Focus PAF @78: Advancing Air Power by Committing to Mission, Strengthening Capabilities and Championing Core Values,’ the occasion recognized the outstanding PAF units and personnel for their exceptional performance, operational excellence and steadfast dedication to national service.
