President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Member States convened with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the 4th ASEAN-Australia Summit in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR).

During his intervention, the President emphasized Australia’s vital role in promoting peace, stability and economic development in Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific, acknowledging Australia’s significant contributions to maritime security and economic growth. He also called for initiatives to address marine pollution and promote sustainable fisheries management.
