“Gampanan ninyo ang tungkuling ito ng buong katapatan at katapangan. Ang Diyos at bansang Pilipino ay kaagapay ninyo sa landasing ito,” remarked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the 46th Commencement Exercises of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) for the 206 graduating cadets of the ‘Sinaglawin’ Class of 2025 at Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda in Silang, Cavite.

Addressing the new Police Lieutenants, President Marcos Jr. emphasized their critical role in renewing trust in the country’s police force. He acknowledged the challenges faced by law enforcement, including issues of misconduct within the ranks, but expressed his strong confidence in the graduates’ ability to uphold professionalism, integrity and accountability.

The President recognized the arduous journey the cadets had endured to reach this milestone — from entering the Academy as uncertain youth to emerging as full-fledged officers ready to serve the nation. He urged them to draw strength from their calling, especially when their principles are tested and public service becomes challenging.

Furthermore, the Chief Executive highlighted the graduates’ vital contribution to overcoming national adversity. He emphasized that, in a society often clouded by misinformation and compromised integrity, the presence of principled and dedicated officers is more essential than ever.

“Sa mundo natin ngayon, madalas pinagtatalunan ang katotohanan at madaling maligaw ang katapatan, hinihiling ko sa inyo: Piliin ang marangal kahit walang parangal at ang paninindigan na tama kahit walang nakakakita,” he conveyed.

In addition, the President extended his heartfelt gratitude to the families of the graduates for their support, as well as to the mentors, trainers and commanders of the Academy who have helped shape the future of the nation’s law enforcement.

“To the ‘Sinaglawin’ Class of 2025, this is your chance to make a difference. Your coming this far tells me and the entire Filipino nation that you are ready and that you are prepared. Congratulations to all of you,” President Marcos Jr. concluded in his speech.
