President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, along with his Cabinet members, discussed the preparations for the upcoming May 2019 midterm elections along with several key topics in a Cabinet Meeting at the Aguinaldo State Dining Room in Malacañan Palace.

The meeting also tackled the recent earthquakes that hit Zambales and Eastern Samar, the pre-SONA (State of the Nation Address) activities of the Cabinet Clusters, the ongoing preparations for the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, and updates on the rehabilitation of Marawi City.
