President Rodrigo Roa Duterte delivered a message before his fellow regional bloc leaders during the 34th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit Retreat at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Each ASEAN Leader was given the opportunity to speak before other Leaders for their intervention statement during the Retreat.

With the theme, ‘Advancing Partnerships for Sustainability’, Leaders of the regional bloc are expected to sign 16 outcome documents, four (4) of which are to be adopted: ASEAN Leaders’ Vision on Partnership for Sustainability, Bangkok Declaration in Combatting Marine Debris in ASEAN Region, ASEAN Leaders’ Statements on the ASEAN Cultural Year for 2019, and ASEAN Indo-Pacific Outlook.
