President Rodrigo Roa Duterte presided over the 33rd Cabinet Meeting at the Aguinaldo State Dining Room in Malacañan Palace.

During the meeting, the Chief Executive introduced General Carlito Galvez, Jr. as the newly-sworn Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity.

The Cabinet Secretaries discussed the recommendations and specific actions requested from the Sulong Pilipinas 2018, and the possible use of the special road funds for the needs of hospitals such as the Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine with banker, and for the Manila Bay rehabilitation which will include relocation and livelihood programs for the affected settlers.

Concerns of teachers abroad and disaster resiliency were also raised during the first Cabinet Meeting for the year 2019.
