Working Visit of President Benigno S. Aquino III
to the United States of America
6-8 June 2012

President Benigno S. Aquino III embarks on a four-day working visit to Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, California in the United States of America from June 6 – 10, 2012.

President Aquino, upon the invitation of US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton during her visit in Manila and of US President Barack Obama during their meeting in Indonesia, is set to visit the United States to discuss the close strategic, economic and people-to-people ties between the US and the Philippines.

During his visit in Washington, District of Columbia, the Chief Executive is set to meet with US President Barack Obama to discuss ways in deepening the bilateral cooperation between the two ally nation. The President will also hold meetings with several business leaders and other US government officials.

Before returning to the country, President Aquino will visit Los Angeles, California to meet the Filipino Community and receive a call by Ms. Jessica Sanchez, the top 2 finalist of American Idol Season 11. This is the first visit of the President in Los Angeles.

The Chief Executive first visited the US in 2010 for the United Nations General Assembly and revisited last year for the launching of the Open Government Partnership in September and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Hawaii last November.
