President Benigno S. Aquino III keynoted the 26th Founding Anniversary celebration of the Presidential Security Group (PSG), where he honoured their hard work and dedication since their group was established in 1986, when the late Corazon Aquino was still the president.
The Chief Executive also led the presentation of awards and plaques of recognition to Best PSG Personnel of the Year 2011 which includes Maj Alfonso D Ileto (Organic Officer of the Year), Maj Paulo C Teodoro (Operational Control Officer of the Year), TSG Gerardo C Mercado (Organic Enlisted Personnel of the Year), SPO4 Bernardo C Maligaya (Organic EP of the Year) and Ms. Estrella R. Tabinas (Civilian Employee of the Year).
Plaques of Recognition were also given to individuals for their unwavering support and assistance to the PSG. They were DBM Secretary Florencio Abad, Deputy Executive Secretary Nora Oliveros of the Office of the President, DBM Undersecretary Evelyn Guerrero, Socials Secretary Susan Reyes, RTVM Executive Director Virgilio Nadal Jr., PMS-ORC Assistant Director Henry Abella, Mr. Manuel Abellada, Mr. Ramon Ang, Mr. Manuel Pangilinan, President and CEO of San Miguel Corporation, Mr. Manuel Pangilinan, President and CEO of Maynilad Water Services Inc., PLDT and Smart Communications, and Mr. Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe Telecom Inc.
President Aquino then witnessed the symbolic turnover of the documents of the completed PSG projects.
