President Benigno S. Aquino III joined the other ASEAN leaders for the 26th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Retreat Summit at the Langkawi International Convention Center (LICC) in Langkawi, Malaysia.
The annual retreat has been a tradition which is followed by the closing ceremony of the ASEAN Summit.
This year, Malaysia chose to have the summit retreat and the closing ceremony outside Kuala Lumpur to boost the Island of Langkawi’s tourism industry, making it a tourist hotspot in Asia.
