The third and final session for today’s 2025 Post-State of the Nation Address (SONA) discussions focused on Health and Social Welfare Protection.

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian was among the key panelists at the event. In an interview, he explained the Department’s latest achievements highlighted by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in yesterday’s SONA, especially its flagship programs such as the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program), the ‘Tara, Basa!’ Tutoring Program, and the ‘Walang Gutom’ Program.

The Secretary vowed to strengthen the DSWD’s public service and assured the continuous delivery and implementation of anti-poverty and anti-hunger programs moving forward.
