The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), in collaboration with the Presidential Broadcast Staff – Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM), led the kick-off activity for this year’s National Women’s Month Celebration at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City on March 5, 2025.

Anchored on this year’s subtheme, ‘Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,’ the event aimed to empower women from various sectors, particularly those in marginalized communities by providing access to essential services, learning opportunities and an inclusive space for engagement.

The event’s highlights included service booths offering free medical check-ups, legal consultations and livelihood support; a trade fair featuring products from women-owned and women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs); the presentation of the State of Filipino Women Report which provided insights into the country’s progress toward achieving gender equality; and the unveiling of the PCW’s 50th Anniversary Coffee Table Book, celebrating five (5) decades of advocacy for women’s rights.

Additionally, the celebration featured a comprehensive lecture series covering topics such as Financial Literacy, Digital Safety, Digital Careers, Fire Safety, Disaster Resilience, Mental and Physical Health, and Microfinancing — all designed to equip women with the knowledge and skills essential for their personal growth and resilience in various aspects of life.
