President Benigno S. Aquino III joined the Filipino people in exercising their right to suffrage and performing their duty as citizens of the country by casting his vote in his hometown of Tarlac province.
With no special treatment, the President and his relatives lined up in their designated precinct and patiently waited for his turn to vote. While queuing up, the President did some work on the side with his aide and even teased his relatives that no one should cut in the line.
In a briefing after casting his ballot, President Aquino stated that the voting process is faster this year compared to the 2010 presidential election, adding that he felt like voting for the first time using the PCOS machine. He also said that he will be presiding a meeting this afternoon for updates on the election and on the Taiwan issue.
