President Rodrigo Roa Duterte joined Member Leaders for the 13th Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines — East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Summit at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam led the gathering with an opening statement ensuing with a video presentation on the 25th BIMP-EAGA Anniversary and BIMP-EAGA’s recent developments.

Each Member Leader, together with Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Takehiko Nakao and ASEAN Secretary General His Excellency Dato Lim Jock Hoi, were given the opportunity to deliver his national intervention during the Summit.

Founded in Davao City in 1994, the sub-regional economic cooperation in Southeast Asia aims to accelerate economic development in the four (4) countries through trade, tourism and investment.
