President Benigno S. Aquino III toured and checked the ongoing Job and Livelihood Fairs of the Department of Labor and Employment at the World Trade Center in Pasay City as part of the 110th Labor Day celebration.

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Director General Emmanuel Joel Villanueva joined President Aquino during the tour around the participating booths of 200 local and overseas employers. He took his time interacting with jobseekers, employers and government workers.

He also witnessed an actual online registration of job applicants through the Phil-Jobnet website, www.phil-job.net, located in the booth of DOLE’s Bureau of Local Employment.

Over 100,000 vacancies are being offered at the World Trade Center alone and thousands of jobs more are available in 56 job fair venues nationwide. The simultaneous job and livelihood fairs also showcased livelihood counselling, franchising opportunities, skills training and livelihood skills demonstrations.
