President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed delegates from the Philippines-Japan Economic Cooperation Committee (PHILJEC) and the 14th Asian Business Summit (ABS) during a courtesy call at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.

In his brief remarks, the President emphasized economic resilience amid global uncertainties, reflecting on lessons learned from the pandemic. He highlighted supply chain vulnerabilities, underscoring the need for stronger regional interdependence.

Despite these challenges, President Marcos Jr. expressed optimism about regional cooperation, reaffirming the Philippines’ commitment to fostering resilient economic relationships and sustainable development through ongoing dialogue.

This year’s 14th Asian Business Summit (ABS) marks the Philippines’ second time hosting since 2014. Organized by PHILJEC and supported by Japan’s Keidanren, the Summit underscores the Philippines’ growing role as a key investment hub in Asia.
