President Benigno S. Aquino III urged local leaders and the community of Quezon City to vote for leaders who will translate national reform into tangible projects the locality will benefit from.
The President also cited several infrastructure projects in Quezon City that had saved millions of pesos in taxpayer’s money such as the Araneta-Quezon Avenue Underpass that was completed 100 days ahead of schedule at a cost of PhP 430 million, saving PhP 264 million from its initial budget of PhP 694 million.
He added that similar success stories were also achieved from several road rehabilitation projects in Boni Serrano Avenue, Aurora Boulevard, 15th Avenue, Camp Aguinaldo, and in C-5.
According to President Aquino, infrastructure projects that had previously been the nest of corruption are now being rid of illegal dealings through the government’s strong stance of anti-corruption reforms.
